Chairman of the Board
Chris is the owner of Advantage Insurance in Merrimack NH, providing all lines of business & personal insurance products for over 25 years. He holds a BS in Health Fitness and Business from Springfield College and an MBA in Business Management for Western New England College.
Chris and his wife Terry live in Merrimack, NH and are the parents of 3 adult children, Sean, Taylor, and Cooper.
Sean is a Manager for Oracle Corporation, with oversight of employees around the country. He served as Treasurer of the New England Parkinson’s Ride from its inception in 2008 until July 2019, when he replaced Richard Tucker in the roll of Secretary. Sean studied Finance and Economics at the University of New Hampshire and currently lives in Tyngsboro, MA, with his wife Jen. They will welcome their first child in February 2020.
Brett M Rosenbaum
Brett is a Technology Investor at Adage Capital Management in Boston, MA. He graduated with a Masters in Business from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, majored in Economics at Trinity College, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He served as a Board Member of the New England Parkinson’s Ride since 2014, taking on the role as Treasurer in July 2019.
Brett lives in Marblehead, MA with his wife and 3 children. He enjoys cycling and telling fish stories.
Pete is the founder and owner of Vector Search Group in Kennebunkport, Maine. He’s a graduate of Cornell University, a very rusty former Blackhawk helicopter pilot, and avid triathlete.
Pete lives on the coast of Maine with his wife, Joan. Their only child, Laura, is a distance runner and economics major in college in California.
Edna’s passion and life experience is the guiding force of the Ride. She was married for 62 years to Bob, a career Army officer, and is the mother to seven children, grandmother to 18, and great-grandmother to 14. It is no surprise to anyone who knows her that she meant business when she and husband, Bob, decided that the family would start a cycling event to raise money for research toward a cure for Parkinson’s Disease.
The first ride was held in 2008 and now, at 83, Edna is not just the heart and soul of the Ride, she works in the office 5 days a week and spends a great deal of time organizing all aspects of the rest stops. She also serves as an Advocate for The Michael J Fox Foundation, regularly attending meetings with local and national politicians and recruiting participants for Fox Trial Finder.
Edna lives in Merrimack, NH.
Steve is a seasoned business executive with broad experience within the software industry. He has over 25 years of software experience selling to several industries. Currently he is working for Socialware, an Austin based start up, in the business of helping financial professionals use social media to improve business performance and make more money.
Steve joined the New England Parkinson’s Ride when it began in support of his good friend Chris Woods and in partnership with the Woods family as they battle to find a cure. As one of the top 3 fundraisers for Team Fox, the New England Parkinson’s Ride, like the Michael J Fox Foundation, is looking to raise awareness for Parkinson’s while raising the funds necessary to find a cure. Steve lives in Maryland with his wife Kirsten of 19 years, and their three kids Andrew, Allie and Matthew.
Kimberly Sherman is a communications professional with experience in all aspects of the creative process from idea generation to business strategy, thought leadership, branding, content development, writing, and photography. She recently left her corporate communications job to teach Communications at Southern New Hampshire University as well as freelance with start-up companies embracing a strong message of health and sustainability.
Kim has been a cyclist in our 100 mile loop for eleven years and joined the Board in January of 2015. She lives in Merrimack, NH with her husband Billy who rides the 100 mile route by her side, and her two sons, Will and Carter who have cycled for nine years, cycling their way up to the 50 mile loop Her dog Eva would ride if there were clips for paws.
Peter is the Vice President of Engineering for Citrix Systems, Inc. He holds a BSEE from Northeastern University and an MBA from Babson College.
Peter lives in Dover, MA with his wife Cheryl, and son Charlie.
Peter first joined the New England Parkinson’s Ride as a cyclist in 2013 and has since put together one of our largest teams of cyclists and has quickly become a top fundraiser. His teenage son Charlie has been a terrific support, riding side by side with dad on the 50 mile route while wife, Cheryl, volunteers countless hours over ride weekend. His experience with start-ups, ability to raise capital, and knowledge of technology are a great asset to the Ride.
Our newest Board Member, Wendy Rosenbaum, joined the Board in March of 2020.
Wendy is the Internal Audit Manager for UFP Technologies, Inc in Newburyport, MA. She started her career working in public accounting for twelve years as part of the Audit Team and other functions, at Coopers & Lybrand, then PriceWaterhouseCoopers. She holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA.
Wendy lives in Topsfield, MA with her husband, Alan, an avid bike rider who raises funds and participates in the NE Parkinson’s ride every year. Wendy and Al have three children, Ben, Lexi and Max, who have also participated in the NE Parkinson’s Ride with Alan over the years. As a family, they enjoy spending time in Maine, hiking, skiing and boating.
