Chris Woods
Chairman of the Board
Chris is the owner of Advantage Insurance in Merrimack NH, providing all lines of business & personal insurance products for over 25 years. He holds a BS in Health Fitness and Business from Springfield College and an MBA in Business Management for Western New England College.
Chris and his wife Terry live in Merrimack, NH and are the parents of 3 adult children, Sean, Taylor, and Cooper.
Sean Woods
Secretary
Sean is a Sales Director for Oracle Corporation, with oversight of employees around North America. He served as Treasurer of the New England Parkinson’s Ride from its inception in 2008 until July 2019, when he replaced Richard Tucker in the roll of Secretary. Sean studied Finance and Economics at the University of New Hampshire and currently lives in Bolton, MA, with his wife Jen & two children: Amelia and Oliver.
Brett M Rosenbaum
Treasurer
Brett is a Partner at Adage Capital Management in Boston, MA. He graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, majored in Economics at Trinity College, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is a Board Member of the Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Diseases at Mass General Brigham. He served as a Board Member of the New England Parkinson’s Ride since 2014, taking on the role as Treasurer in July 2019.
Brett lives on Massachusett’s North Shore with his wife and 3 children. He enjoys cycling, skiing, and telling fish stories.
Pete Broderick
Vice President
Pete is the founder and owner of Vector Search Group in Kennebunkport, Maine. He’s a graduate of Cornell University and Army veteran. He lives on the coast of Maine with his wife. They have one adult daughter who is a college distance running coach. When not working, Pete and his wife enjoy running, hiking and discovering less well-known wineries in California.
Edna Woods
Board member
Edna’s passion and life experience is the guiding force of the Ride. She was married for 62 years to Bob, a career Army officer, and is the mother to seven children, grandmother to 18, and great-grandmother to 14. It is no surprise to anyone who knows her that she meant business when she and husband, Bob, decided that the family would start a cycling event to raise money for research toward a cure for Parkinson’s Disease.
The first ride was held in 2008 and now, at 83, Edna is not just the heart and soul of the Ride, she works in the office 5 days a week and spends a great deal of time organizing all aspects of the rest stops. She also serves as an Advocate for The Michael J Fox Foundation, regularly attending meetings with local and national politicians and recruiting participants for Fox Trial Finder.
Edna lives in Merrimack, NH.
Steve Durkee
Board Member
Steve is a seasoned sales executive with over 30 years of experience in the software industry. The majority of his career has been spent in the startup world, with the last 3 years at DecisionLink. Steve joined The New England Parkinson’s Ride at its inception in support of good friend Chris Woods and the ride family charter to raise funds to find a cure for Parkinson’s. Steve lives in Annapolis Maryland with his wife Kirsten of 28 years, they have 3 successful kids, Andrew, Allie, and Matthew, who also support our ride family and charter.
Kimberly Sherman
Board Member
Kimberly Sherman spent almost three decades as a corporate communications professional. One positive thing that the Covid years afforded her was the opportunity to finally pursue her lifelong dream to help people access and benefit from holistic wellness therapies. Kim is a Reiki Master Practitioner and Teacher at NH Health & Wellness in Nashua, NH.
The New England Parkinson’s Ride has long been a family affair of cycling and volunteering. She has been a cyclist on Team Woods for 14 years and joined the Board in January of 2014. She lives in Merrimack, NH with her husband Billy who also rides with Team Woods. Her two sons, Will and Carter who have cycled for ten years, literally growing up with the Ride, cycling their way up to the 50 mile loop. Their dog Eva would ride if there were clips for paws.
Peter Marconi
Board Member
Peter is the Vice President of Engineering for Citrix Systems, Inc. He holds a BSEE from Northeastern University and an MBA from Babson College.
Peter lives in Dover, MA with his wife Cheryl, and son Charlie.
Peter first joined the New England Parkinson’s Ride as a cyclist in 2013 and has since put together one of our largest teams of cyclists and has quickly become a top fundraiser. His teenage son Charlie has been a terrific support, riding side by side with dad on the 50 mile route while wife, Cheryl, volunteers countless hours over ride weekend. His experience with start-ups, ability to raise capital, and knowledge of technology are a great asset to the Ride.
Wendy Rosenbaum
Board Member
Our newest Board Member, Wendy Rosenbaum, joined the Board in March of 2020.
Wendy is the Internal Audit Manager for UFP Technologies, Inc in Newburyport, MA. She started her career working in public accounting for twelve years as part of the Audit Team and other functions, at Coopers & Lybrand, then PriceWaterhouseCoopers. She holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA.
Wendy lives in Topsfield, MA with her husband, Alan, an avid bike rider who raises funds and participates in the NE Parkinson’s ride every year. Wendy and Al have three children, Ben, Lexi and Max, who have also participated in the NE Parkinson’s Ride with Alan over the years. As a family, they enjoy spending time in Maine, hiking, skiing and boating.
