2026 Ride Updates

New VIP Registration Option

We are introducing an exciting new way to participate as a VIP fundraiser.

This year, you can choose to register as a VIP at sign-up by committing to raise $1,000. When you select this option, you will have until December 31st to reach your goal, and you are guaranteed a VIP jersey for Ride Day.

Participants who choose the VIP registration option must still meet the standard $250 fundraising minimum by Ride Day, but this new process allows us to order jerseys in advance for those who already know they plan to reach the $1,000 level and may simply need more time to get there.

The traditional VIP process will also remain in place. Anyone who reaches $1,000 in fundraising by July 15th, but did not register as a VIP, will still receive a VIP jersey. Those fundraisers will receive an email from us in July with a form to complete their jersey order.

Please note this also applies to VIP bibs, which are given to those who sign up as a VIP or reach the July 15 deadline.

Introducing Our First Ever 5K Walk

For the first time in Ride history, we are launching a pilot 5K Walk as part of Ride Weekend.

We are, and always will be, a cycling event at heart. At the same time, we want to create more ways for our community to take part. The 5K Walk is designed for supporters who may not feel comfortable cycling, or who prefer another way to be involved while still supporting the mission.

Because this is new for us, we are keeping the walk intentionally small as we work out the details. We will be accepting only the first 250 walkers in 2026, with the hope of growing the program in 2027.

Here are the basics:

  • The 5K Walk will begin at 11:00 AM, between the 30-mile and 10-mile bike route starts
  • Walkers will receive a shirt, lunch, a beer or wine ticket, and a special giveaway – same as cyclists
  • Walkers can join the same teams as cyclists and raise funds together
  • Teams are strongly encouraged – it’s more fun

Whether you ride, walk, or fundraise only, we are grateful for every way you choose to be part of this community.

Expanding How We Partner

We are also expanding the ways individuals and organizations can partner with us to make a difference.

Are you, your company, or someone in your network looking for meaningful ways to support the Ride? We invite you to explore our new sponsorship opportunities. Our updated approach is focused on true partnership, engagement, and working together to move the dial forward for people living with Parkinson’s.

In addition to financial sponsors, we are seeking non-monetary partners.

Do you know of a resource, service provider, or organization that supports people with Parkinson’s? Please connect us at axi@neparkinsonsride.org. We want our Post Ride Celebration to be a place where participants and families can also connect with local organizations that are helping our community every day.

A Note About the 2026 Date

We also want to acknowledge an important scheduling matter. The 2026 Ride falls on Rosh Hashanah. We recognize that many members of our community will be celebrating the High Holiday with family and loved ones.

Please know that we did explore every option to move the event date. Because the Ride has always been held on the Saturday following Labor Day, our venue partners, vendors, and the towns we work with rely on us to remain on that weekend each year.

Unfortunately, we were not able to change the date without significant impact to the event.

We deeply value our Jewish participants and families, and we want to make sure there is still a way for everyone to be part of the experience. To help include those unable to join us in person, we will be hosting a Facebook Live team send-off on an alternate weekend for riders who will be Cycling In Sync.

If you are interested in participating in this special virtual send-off, please email Axi at axi@neparkinsonsride.org, and we will share details as they are confirmed.
