Earlier this year we had to face the incredibly difficult and soul crushing reality that we wouldn’t be able to ride together in Old Orchard Beach…for the first time in 13 years. Many tears were shed, both ours and yours, but then we did what families do, we rallied! Through emotional zoom calls too many to count, emails, newsletters, and assorted challenges, our Ride Family started to come together. One by one, you began to embrace the idea of Cycling In Sync…together while apart.

With your help we introduced our Ride to new friends from across the country and around the world, culminating in over 1000 cyclists who worked tirelessly to raise over $850,000 for The Michael J. Fox Foundation, in the very toughest of times.

And in the process a miracle happened! We touched the heart of a very special anonymous donor who was so taken with the tenacity of our Ride Family that a donation larger than we ever could have hoped for, or even imagined, was made to ensure that we reached $1 million for MJFF for the third year in a row!

That unbelievably generous donation was made yesterday, bringing our current Ride Total to $1,147,618 and our 13 year combined effort to just under seven million dollars!

There are no words sufficient enough to thank that donor, and all of you, for being a part of us. For believing that no matter the odds, we would find a way to stay the course despite a pandemic!
