“Pilot” Doug Malcomb
At first I thought “Why me?” when I was

asked if I wanted to ride the 10 mile route with the Portland Wheelers. A few miles down the road with Doug at the helm, I changed my way of thinking. I couldn’t imagine a more fun filled way of enjoying the New England Parkinson’s Ride! The day and the fellowship that I experienced with the riders and members of this group was amazing. The positive vibes, the hard work of so many people keeping the Michael J Fox momentum going was inspiring. Thank you to all that keep the Parkinson’s research alive and onto a cure.

– Gus Stella
A very happy Gus finishes along with nearly 1000 other cyclists!

The New England Parkinson’s Ride is thrilled to announce that the Portland Wheelers will have

five duet bikes with pilots (pedalers) at this year’s ride!
If you would like to be a part of our 10th Anniversary Ride but can’t pedal under your own power,
please consider joining Gus and the others on the 10 mile route!

THE RIDE IS ONLY A COUPLE OF WEEKS AWAY AND WE KNOW YOU HAVE OF QUESTIONS…

GET YOUR ANSWERS HERE!
  • I registered as a volunteer but have not been assigned a job yet. Should I be concerned?

We are in the process of making assignments now. If you are a returning volunteer, you will most likely be used in the same position as last year, unless you requested a change. New volunteers will be assigned as closely as possible to your requested position. If you do not receive an assignment by 8/27, please email Cindy at neparkinsonsride@gmail.com.

  • Are tickets still available for the Pre-Ride Dinner?

A limited number of tickets are still available but they are going fast! Please make sure that you are registered to Ride or Volunteer before purchasing tickets.  Get dinner information and tickets here.

  • Will maps and directions be handed out at the ride?  Maps & Directions are available on our website, along with a variety of gps apps. They will  not be printed out for cyclists but routes will be well marked with color coded paint. If you are most comfortable having a printed version with you, please print before arriving at the event.
  • If I have registered a child or teen, do I have to ride with them? All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. If you are not riding with your child, you must complete an Authorization Form naming the person legally responsible for your child. All parents must also complete aWaiver and confirmation of their child’s understanding of the Rules of the Road before their child will be allowed to ride.

Please watch your email for an electronic version of the required forms

    !
  • What do I do if I receive a donation in the form of a check?
  • Will you allow Walk-On Registrations at the Ride?

Although we have traditionally allowed a limited number of walk-ons, we cannot promise that option will be available. With the new chip technology, bib numbers must be pre-assigned, making it a much more complicated process. Don’t take that chance, REGISTER NOW
