Sponsorship OPPORTUNITIES

BECAUSE OF OUR INCREDIBLE SPONSORS, 100% OF THE MONEY RAISED BY OUR CYCLISTS & VOLUNTEERS WILL CONTINUE TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE MICHAEL J. FOX FOUNDATION, FOR RESEARCH TOWARD A CURE!

Team Fox

Background

The New England Parkinson’s Ride began in 2008 when Chris Woods, an avid cyclist, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease at age 41. The Woods family, led by parents Bob & Edna, founded the Ride and the family has continued to coordinate all aspects for the past 14 years.

  • The Woods family has been personally recognized by Michael J. Fox and his Foundation for their dedication to finding a cure for Parkinson’s Disease.
  • This grassroots initiative has enjoyed incredible (and accelerated) growth.
    ○ The Ride has grown from 38 riders in 2008, raising just over $27K, to over 1000 riders raising over $1.15 million in 2020, despite the pandemic that took the ride virtual.
    ○ The 2021 Ride scheduled for September 11th is expected to draw over 1,500 cyclists and 300 volunteers, from around the globe, with a goal of $1.5 million dollars.
    ○ The Ride also draws hundreds of friends, family, and supporters to the Old Orchard Beach area and brings the community itself out in growing numbers.
