(Please note this page will not be fully updated until 3/1/20)

We have been able to negotiate some discounts for our cyclists and volunteers at a handful of hotels/motels (and a lovely campground) in the Old Orchard Beach vicinity but this is a very small town and a very busy weekend in OOB. Most hotels/motels are already offering “off-season” rates. Wherever you book, we suggest that you ask for a room away from the railroad tracks, in order to get a good night’s sleep.

Accomodations in the area sell out quickly so please be sure to make your arrangements early!

Please note that most of the motels/campgrounds listed below require a two-night minimum stay in order to receive the discount.

The Alouette has supported this Ride since the very beginning and has become part of our New England Parkinson’s Ride family.  In addition to The Aloutte itself, Fred and Ann Kennedy own several other hotels and motels along the beach and have offered significant discounts to our riders and volunteers.  They are offering a block of rooms at a discounted rate of $103.95 plus tax, for 2020. This discount is available to guests staying a minimum of two nights. Outside the block they also have apartments and cottages available. In addition to offering discounted rates the Kennedys have always made a very generous donation to the ride.  Please call The Aloutte directly at 1-800-565-4151 to obtain the discounted rates.  Just be sure to identify yourself as a participant of the New England Parkinson’s Ride. You may also visit their website to obtain a brochure, see room options, etc.

Abellona Inn & Suites has generously agreed to provide a 10% discount on their guest rooms and kitchenettes. In addition to being an ideal location right on the beach and close to the Pier, many of the rooms are being updated in the off season. Please call the Abellona Inn directly at 1-207-934-2533 or visit their website and use the code “NEPR” to obtain the discounted rates.  Use of the discount code will require a 2-night minimum stay.  The discount is valid from Sept 10th to Sept 14th, offering up to a 4-night getaway if you choose.  If you call for a reservation, please remember to identify yourself as a participant of the New England Parkinson’s Ride.

The Hampton Inn in Saco also offers a group rate to the New England Parkinson’s Ride and will hold a block of rooms until 8/12/20.  In addition to the reduced room rate of $199.00 for a room with two Queen Beds or a King Bed with pull-out sofa, breakfast is included (they’ll even pack ready to go bags upon request for early riders) and $5.00 of every reservation is donated back to the ride.  Please book directly through this link by calling 207-282-7222 and mentioning the ride. Note: Hampton Inn is one of the few hotels willing to allow a one night stay.

If you prefer to be closer to the action of Portland, the Fireside Inn & Suites is located about 20 minutes from Old Orchard Beach, right off of I-95 at Exit 48 in Portland.  They are holding a block of 15 rooms, some with king-sized beds and others with 2 double beds, for the New England Parkinson’s Ride until 8/12/20.  The normal room rate is $179.00 per night but they have generously discounted to $129.00 which includes a continental breakfast!   Please call to make your reservation.  Phone: 207-774-5601

The lovely Old Orchard Beach Inn is right up the street from the pier. They don’t have a lot of rooms and are very popular with our cyclists and volunteers so you’ll want to book early. This year the Old Orchard Beach Inn has offered a 15% discount if you mention the Ride when booking. Please contact them directly at: oldorchardbeachinn@gwi.net or Toll Free: 1-877-700-6624. (Not yet updated for 2020.)

Hid’n Pines RV Resort & Campground is a lovely resort where many of our cyclists and families have stayed in the past.  This year we were able to negotiate a 25% discount for anyone who mentions the New England Parkinson’s Ride. A two night minimum stay is required, 3 night maximum, for the discounted rates. Six person maximum per site or vacation rental. You will need to make your reservation over the phone in order to receive the Ride discount. Phone: 207-934-2352 (Not yet updated for 2020.)

Beau Rivage Motel has generously agreed to hold a block of rooms on the ocean side of the street for our cyclists & volunteers. There are a limited number so please call asap and mention the New England Parkinson’s Ride to get a 10% discount off of their $129 double rooms (based on 2 adults/2 children under 13, $15 for each additional guest 13 or older). They also have rooms available on the opposite side of the street that are less expensive but are closer to the train tracks. All rooms have access to the beach, a large pool, hot tub, and bbq grills. Phone: 1-800-939-4668

Waves Oceanfront Resort (and their sister resort Sea View) has rooms available but is unable to hold a block for us this year or provide a discount. We list it here because we had some cyclists enjoy staying with them over the past several years. If you are interested in finding out the rate and different room styles please contact them at 207-934-4949 or www.wavesoceanfront.com.

Beachwood Motel is a small motel with only 49 rooms, very typical of the Old Orchard Beach area. We have had cyclists stay and be quite happy. They have off season rates available but require a 2 or 3 night stay and book up very quickly. Phone: 207-934-2291

There are many other hotels, motels, campgrounds and cottages in the Old Orchard Beach area.  Please check out the  OOB Chamber of Commerce website for additional options and click here for a very helpful Vacation Planner!
