Although we have always been able to negotiate discounts for ride weekend, this year was particularly difficult as motels and campgrounds begin to recover from the devastating impact of the pandemic. Old Orchard Beach is a small town and this is a busy weekend.

That makes us especially grateful to those who have been with us for years and have graciously agreed to provide a discount again for 2022! Please note that most of them require a two-night minimum stay in order to receive the discount.

Whether you book with one of them or somewhere else, we recommend that you specifically ask for a room away from the railroad tracks.

Accommodations in the area sell out quickly so please be sure to make your arrangements early!

The Alouette has supported this Ride since the very beginning and has become part of our New England Parkinson’s Ride family.  In addition to The Alouette itself, Fred and Ann Kennedy own several other hotels and motels along the beach and have offered significant discounts to our riders and volunteers.  They are offering a block of rooms at a discounted rate of $139.95 plus tax, for 2022. This discount is available to guests staying a minimum of two nights. Outside the block they also have apartments and cottages available. In addition to offering discounted rates the Kennedys have always made a very generous donation to the ride.  Please call The Alouette directly at 1-800-565-4151 to obtain the discounted rates.  Just be sure to identify yourself as a participant of the New England Parkinson’s Ride. You may also visit their website to obtain a brochure, see room options, etc.

Abellona Inn & Suites has agreed to provide a 10% discount on a limited number of guest rooms and kitchenettes. In addition to being an ideal location right on the beach and close to the Pier, many of the rooms have recently been updated. In order to access the discount (while still available) please call the Abellona Inn directly at 1-207-934-2533.  Use of the discount code will require a 2-night minimum stay.  When you call for a reservation, please remember to identify yourself as a participant of the New England Parkinson’s Ride.

Paradise Park & Campground has been recommended by many cyclists who have stayed in the past. They are only a 2 minute drive or 8 minute walk from The Ballpark and within minutes of the beach and the lovely downtown area!

This year they have graciously provided a 20% discount for RV spots and Rental Units, for bookings between 9/7/22 – 9/11/22. In order to obtain the discount, you must utilize their online reservation link and enter code “nepark” on the final page of checkout.

The lovely Old Orchard Beach Inn is right up the street from the pier. They don’t have a lot of rooms and are very popular with our cyclists and volunteers so you’ll want to book early. This year the Old Orchard Beach Inn has offered a 10% discount if you mention the Ride when booking. Please contact them directly at: 1-207-934-5834.

The owners also manage several other larger properties in the Old Orchard Beach area and have offered the same 10% discount at these locations when you mention the Ride. Click here for reservation information and additional details.

Beau Rivage Motel has generously agreed to hold a block of rooms on the ocean side of the street for our cyclists & volunteers. There are a limited number so please call asap and mention the New England Parkinson’s Ride to get a 10% discount off of their $174 double kitchenette rooms (based on 2 adults/2 children under 13). They also have rooms available on the opposite side of the street that are less expensive but are closer to the train tracks. All rooms have access to the beach, a large pool, hot tub, and bbq grills. Phone: 1-800-939-4668

Sun Outdoors Old Orchard Beach Downtown, formally known as Hid’n Pines, is a lovely resort where many of our cyclists and families have stayed in the past.  This year we were able to negotiate a 25% discount from 9/8/22 – 9/11/22 for anyone who uses the code 22HNPRIDE on their website or mentions New England Parkinson’s Ride when calling directly. A two night minimum stay is required, 3 night maximum, for the discounted rates. Six person maximum per site or vacation rental. Phone: 207-934-2352.

There are many other hotels, motels, campgrounds and cottages in the Old Orchard Beach area.  Please check out the  OOB Chamber of Commerce website for additional options and a very helpful Vacation Planner!
