New England Parkinson’s Ride

Rachel Levy explains her unique fundraiser for this year’s Ride.

Six months ago I started compiling my mom Sheila’s special recipes, in honor of her 75th birthday. As I was typing them up, several people suggested that I share the cookbook as a fundraiser. I feel confident that mom would support this idea, though she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 10 years ago and has severe dementia. Now that it’s complete, I’ll be selling the cookbook as a way to raise money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research!

On September 11th, Jeff, Dad and I will be riding with the New England Parkinson’s Ride, the largest Team Fox single-day fundraising event in the world. The Ride has raised over $7 million since inception and has a goal to raise an additional $1.5 million in 2021. With your help we will reach that goal and put an end to PD.

Here’s the best part, when you give through my fundraising page, 100 percent of your donation will go straight to MJFF’s research efforts to speed a cure for Parkinson’s disease and improve the lives of those living with PD today. For every friend who donates $100, I will happily ship you a copy of the cookbook: “Cooking With Mom.”

Please consider donating any amount on my fundraising page:

Remember, if you donate $100 or more, you will receive a copy of the 75th Birthday Cookbook!

We share these fundraising ideas simply as a way to inspire others.
